Dental Lab Technologist job at Makerere University Health Services (University Hospital) Full Time

Reporting To Head of Unit
Key, Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure proper fabrication and handling of patients lab work submitted to the dental lab
  2. Engage in under graduate student training
  3. Check for proper patient biodata, and documentation of patient information.
  4. Carry out labaratory practical demonstrations to both BSDT and BDS students.
  5. Plan and develop a duty rosater and training schedules for staff, students and other lab users.
  6. Ensure proper handling of work with proper statndards of operation and infection control, ensure clean working environment and clean equipment.
  7. Ensure proper taking of inventory and requisition of dental labaratory materials.
  8. Ensure that lab work and payment records are well kept.
  9. Organise monthly reports.
  10. Prepare lab equipment for upcoming lab work.
  11. Clean and maintain the labaratory equipment.
  12. Perfom anyother related duties as may be assigned by the head of the Unit.
Required Qualifications
  1. Honors Bachelor’s degree of Science in Dental Technology
  2. Registration with Allied Health Professionals Council
  3. Valid practicing license
Tenure of Appointment one (1) Year contract renewable upon satisfactory perfomance
Age Limit
Renumeration As per the hospital budget
