Data Entrant Job Description
The Data Entrant is responsible for entering, maintaining and updating student data in the Esom music school’s system. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of student information for the school’s administration team.
The Data Entrant will be responsible for maintaining student’s enrollment, attendance, and performance records, updating student contact information, and generating reports as needed. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong organizational and time-management skills.
DATA ENTRANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Entering and maintaining student data in the school’s computer system, including demographic and academic information.
- Verify and update student information regularly, such as contact information, enrollment status, and course progress ensuring that all data is accurate and current.
- Maintain accurate records of student’s enrollment, attendance, and performance, including tracking absences and tardiness and use this data to generate reports as needed.
- Manage and update student contact information, including phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses.
- Generating reports and analyzing data as needed, including enrollment statistics, attendance records, and student performance data.
- Assist with student registration process, including data entry, verification, and follow-up.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student data, providing them with updates and answering any questions they may have.
- Assist in maintaining student databases, ensuring that all data is organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure data consistency and accuracy across all systems
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Experience working with data entry and record keeping, at least 1-2 years
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in data
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management software such as Excel and Access
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with different stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
